About Me
I wear many hats in life - mother, sister, aunt, friend, partner, LGBTQ+ ally, educator, and professional. For more than three decades, my journey has been intertwined with children, youth, and families in various roles. I'm a teacher, a registered clinical counselor, an early childhood educator, a visitation supervisor, and a lifelong learner.
My path has led me to work as an outreach counselor with a local nonprofit agency where I collaborated closely with the Ministry of Children and Family Development to provide various outreach services and supervised visitation and exchange. I've also had the privilege of establishing and running a unique and successful supervised visitation program for Aboriginal families. I am commited to providing comprehensive, holistic services to all, and offer a warm and non-judgmental space for everyone who walks through the doors of Eclipse Counselling and Family Services.

Background
My educational background includes a Bachelor of General Studies (BGS), a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), and a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology (MACP). I am registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC # 18857) and possess a valid ECE License to Practice. I am also an active member of the Supervised Visitation Network. I am continuously engaged in teaching an array of parenting and child care-related workshops and courses, some of which are offered to parents accessing the supervised visitation program..
I have operated several childcare facilities in the past, and more recently, I spearheaded the development and operation of a supervised visitation program for a local non-profit agency. My unwavering dedication lies in supporting individuals of all ages, with a strong emphasis on assisting them in recognizing and addressing the challenges that may impede their ability to lead fulfilling and purposeful lives.
As a lifelong learner, I am committed to ongoing professional development and seize these opportunties to benefit both myself and my clients.

How Counselling Works
The central element of counseling lies in establishing a trusting therapeutic relationship. At the outset of counseling, a substantial period is allotted for the client and counselor to acquaint themselves, thus engendering trust. Subsequently, when the client is prepared, the formulation of objectives and the commencement of their pursuit will begin.
What's in It for You
Commencing and fully engaging in counseling may pose initial challenges, yet the potential benefits are truly worthwhile. It is important to remember that you are not embarking on this journey in isolation. At Eclipse, you will receive unwavering support throughout every phase of the therapeutic process.
